On July 4, the 32nd plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council, chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, devoted to the “Development of human capital” was held.
The plenary session of the Council was attended by about 300 heads of state bodies, national and large transnational companies, representatives of international organizations, of which on the Kazakh side are members of the Government of the country, heads of Baiterek National Joint-Stock Company and Atameken Scientific Production Enterprise 32 large transnational foreign companies and international organizations, 5 foreign observers.
The Foreign Investors Council was established more than 20 years ago by the First President of Kazakhstan-Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, to improve the investment climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Such events help to establish direct contact between the Government of the country and foreign entrepreneurs. During the activities of the members of the Council, a significant contribution was made to the development of the economy of Kazakhstan - about $ 320 billion of foreign direct investment was attracted.
Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP conducts active work with foreign investors in order to implement major investment projects in such industries as solar energy, education, light industry, agriculture and food industry, engineering, metallurgy, medicine, oil refining, and fintek. Jointly with foreign partners, the implementation of 3 joint projects has begun. In accordance with the approved strategy, by the end of 2022 Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP plans to attract at least 150 billion tenge of investments.
