The annual conference “Astana Finance Days 2023” (AFD) was held at the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), which brought together more than 3,000 participants from 70 countries.
Samruk-Kazyna Invest was presented at the event by the General Director – Abilmazhinov Saken Maratovich. He signed investment agreements with partners from Ireland, Turkey and Switzerland to launch projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan, such as Avia Solutions Group for the project “Creation of the Eurasian Educational Training Center”, Sembol Сonstruction and AKGUN Ceramic LLP for the project “Creation of the production of ceramic tiles” and sanitary ware”, INOKS Capital S.A. for the project “Creation of an agricultural fund for direct investment”.
The implementation of the project to create a Eurasian training center will satisfy the need for training civil aviation pilots, optimize the costs of domestic airlines, export pilot training services from the Eurasian region, and also raise the level of air transportation safety.
The implementation of the project to create a production of ceramic tiles and sanitary ware will make it possible to satisfy the country’s domestic needs for ceramic tile products in the amount of 80 million sq. m2 and sanitary products in the amount of 7.5 million units annually, as well as attract foreign investment in the country in the amount of 7.7 billion tenge Moreover, the project plans to create up to 600 new jobs in the Turkestan region.
The implementation of the project to create an agricultural direct investment fund will increase the influx of foreign investment in the agricultural industry and contribute to the transfer of technology to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The annual AFD conference allows us to strengthen friendly and partnership ties between the business communities of the participating countries, and also emphasizes the investment attractiveness of the Republic of Kazakhstan for foreign investors.
