From April 19 to April 21 this year, as part of his working trip to the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, the General Director of Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP Saken Maratovich Abilmazhinov took part in the event “Days of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s economy in the region of North Rhine-Westphalia and Dusseldorf”.
Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, national companies JSC “NC “KAZAKH INVEST”, JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”, JSC “NMH Baiterek” also took part in the forum “Kazakhstan Economy Day in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) – opportunities trade and cooperation in the fields of industry, energy and resources”, which was held in the city of Düsseldorf. The event brought together more than 100 representatives of the German business community.
On the agenda were issues of expanding bilateral trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Germany, in particular, the mutually beneficial nature of attracting German experience in the field of high technologies, energy, transport and communications.
On April 19, during these forums, Saken Maratovich presented and told representatives of German business about the conditions for investing, and about how Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP participates in investment projects. It was also noted that the main goal of Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP is the diversification of the Fund’s assets and the development of non-primary sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, such industries as mechanical engineering, food and light industry were identified as priority.
The President of the Dusseldorf Chamber of Commerce, Andreas Schmitz, for his part, noted that the economy of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia has a huge industrial potential, in connection with which local companies expressed interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan, especially in the field of sustainable energy supplies to Germany. In addition, according to him, German enterprises have good opportunities for the implementation of joint projects in the manufacturing industry on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
