Within the framework of the III High-Level Forum of International Cooperation “One Belt, One Road” on October 17-18 this year. In Beijing, agreements on investment and cooperation were signed by the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Nurlan Zhakupov and the Chairman of the Board of SANY Renewable Energy Co Ltd Zhou Fugui.
The main purpose of these agreements is the Construction of a plant for the production of wind power plant components (hereinafter – WPP) in Kazakhstan, as part of the planned construction of large wind farms in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For reference: SANY Renewable Energy Co Ltd is one of the largest manufacturers of wind turbine components in the world and specializes in project planning, wind farm design, turnkey construction, transportation, operation and maintenance, investment and financing for wind farm management through digitalization and innovative models.
The construction of a plant for the production of components for blades, nacelles and towers will help meet the needs of wind power plants planned for construction in Kazakhstan, creating additional value and new production in the country.
The initiator will be SANY Renewable Energy and Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP will act on behalf of the Samruk-Kazyna JSC group.
The project will give impetus to the development of the domestic energy sector, as well as attracting foreign investment to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project is planned to be implemented in the Zhambyl region of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the creation of up to 490 new jobs.
