On November 8, 2022, the President launched the work of the integrated gas chemical complex of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. LLP.

Chairman of the Board of NC KazMunayGas Magzum Mirzagaliev told the Head of State about the prospects for the development of the gas chemical complex. 4,300 people were involved in the construction of the complex. After the launch of the enterprise, 631 people will be provided with permanent jobs.

This enterprise, specializing in processing raw materials from the Tengiz field, is designed to produce 500 thousand tons of polypropylene per year, which is 1% of its global production.

The production complex will not only meet the demand for polypropylene in the domestic market, but will also facilitate the activities of small and medium-sized enterprises producing polypropylene products for the construction and medical industries, the automotive industry, and the food industry.

The company uses Catofin and Novolen technologies from the American company Lummus Technology Inc. Similar complexes operate only in five countries in the world – Saudi Arabia, the USA, Belgium, South Korea and China.
